Never, not even once. There is always something to observe or report if you look beyond the surface. And if even if the person is brain-dead and wants to talk about the weather, that’s fine for a few seconds. But I ran into one guy at the gym recently, said hi and goodbye, didn’t care what he thought. If he wants to have a conversation he can follow me but I’m not going to stop and chit-chat about nothing.
