F*** Hideki Kamiya, this a****** whose characters rip off toku (Viewtiful Joe, DMC 1 Dante is just an early heisei era kamen rider in personality/concept, goddamnit bayo is just devilman lady) has the nerve to sit around and refer to the people who lap up his s*** as “insects”, “stupid f****** foreigners”, when he most certainly has the option to just not engage with the general idiocy on twitter. In English these remarks don’t carry the extremely vitriolic connotation that they do in Japanese. Sure I loved his games, he called out Kotaku on that BS article and people will be ignorant and ask questions but I still don’t think that gives him a proper excuse to say the things he does. Imagine if John Carmack started going off about flat faced yellow island monkeys in reference to the Japanese? No doubt there’d be some inane petition to publicly lynch him or something. I love weeb s***, I know Japan has a long history of xenophobia, doesn’t mean I love it or offer blind respect.
