I wonder when will society will realize that some black women like myself, love being the focal of attention, whether good or bad, I just love the attention. Of course we don’t break a sweat fighting diligently & relentlessly for fair treatment, but for instance, when I see things trending on twitter that are less than favorable such as, #noblackwomen2018, a scene of je nai se quoi comes over me. I guess more than being praised, or fighting for my rights, I love most how bothered the mere mention of “black women” stirs up some of the masses. I absolutely love that black women walk around with imaginary crowns, (or in my cases, actual, full on, shiny bold tiaras), how it just bothers the living hell out of some people. Lol. I f****** love it! I love how I can sit, minding my own damn business & someone will let that sight just completely compel their entire being. Now, of course I wouldn’t want to be victim of a random savage attack, but some people are just crazy. In the mean time, I will continue to rock my chocolatey melanin in the local Walmart, wearing my tiara, minding my business, not bothering anyone as people walk by, and choose to either minding there own business or feel compelled to talk s***. I like the attention. I like fighting too. But most of all, I love being a black woman. : )
