anesthesia resident, been getting high at work off surg drugs for the last six months. I believe The chief anesthesiologist and one of the CRNA’s suspect something because I got a little too wordy and talkative after one of our morning meetings where they assign cases. I know I’m wrong and need to stop while I’m still in the early stages of addiction but I never thought sneaking a hit of sevoflurane would have made me feel like the universe was pregnant and I was it’s baby. Bottom line hospitals need to keep better accountability of their people and drugs, IMO the meds should be watched by armed guards, that’s just how powerful some of that s*** is. If I get caught I’m done for sure and some folks in management will lose their jobs for not keeping tabs on their people and inventory. I really don’t want that to happen and I’m really scared for my mental health.
