I’m dating a victim of s***** abuse since she was a child, she continues to see her abuser due to him being a long-time family friend. She regularly tells me how hopeless she is because no matter what she ever does she cannot leave her family, leave behind her trauma, nor erase all the awful thoughts of being abused by an older man when she was a child. Her pain has entered me and now my own depression and hopelessness have been amplified as I am unable to ever console her or promise her a better future because, honestly, there is nothing worth living for after being abused to the degree she’s been. And well, there’s honestly no point in me being alive either because I don’t have any meaningful reason to be alive. So I’m planning on committing suicide after college graduation instead of living a life that’s boring, meaningless, and consistently forcing me to be someone I’m not nor ever will be.

she needs to forgive, let go and be at peace. you do the same. now make some delic food and eat together, you are both infinitely valuable. you don’t need to live a boring life, you can work to produce Love instead of money, that will be super fulfilling. help the poor, treat the sick, help the old, work for love.
Just because you can’t be her saviour doesn’t mean that you are a failure.Everyone has their own battle to fight.Its not your responsibility to fight her battle.You have your own battle to fight i see so better work on it because unless you work on yourself and find yourself,understand yourself.You can’t save somebody else.And if you want to suicide,just mind me.Everyone goes through that feeling of hopelessness and ending their life because it becomes too hard to take it but you are going to learn alot.You just have to keep on.This phase will pass,i promise.
