Awakening is hard. I somehow feel the burden of the world. The suffering and injustice around race, class and the environment. I feel powerless guilty hypocritical and shame As the song says “we are caught in the devil’s bargain”. Stuck between self interest and the greater good it’s hard to not feel implicated in the causes of these problems. I see the complicitness of people and it is saddening to me. I get frustrated to be a part of a consumer based world filled with greed and self serving. I strive to be conscious of my roll in it. Today I strive and re commit myself to be part of the solution.
