I’m so over this fake solidarity African American women pretend to have with immigrant blacks. “We’re all black” – first of all, you guys make it clear you don’t want us here, you don’t respect our cultures, you mock our accents, and you don’t give a f*** to hear what we have to say. As much as I say this I know it’s not everyone. But honestly, for my version of reality, it’s true. The coldness is still there, I don’t care if it’s cultural. Sometimes aspects of a culture s***! I’m even fed up with the guilt-tripping “date a black man” nonsense. Date whoever you want! You don’t own anyone because they’re black like you. No one chooses to be a race, they just are experiencing things differently because of it. And why do you insist on saying the n word?!? I never say the word, why do you all enjoy saying any variation of a word that disrespected your ancestors? Why? I am so so so tired out feeling outcast from a community I’m “supposed to” belong with. The culture shock is too real.
