She doesn’t mean it. She thinks she does, maybe, but the resentment will grow and ruin what’s left of your relationship.
If you have kids, you have to get into couples counseling and try to save your marriage for them. If you don’t, you should still try counseling… but if it doesn’t work, just end it and move on.
I absolutely second this. I’m a wife and sex has been very painful after childbirth. When I’m really depressed I think about telling my husband to find other people for sex but I never do because I know it’d destroy me because deep down i don’t want him to be with other people. I want him to be with me and to have a fantastic sex life again. But I feel guilty and ashamed that it hurts.
She probably feels similarly and only told you to be with other people because she doesn’t want you to have an incomplete life because of her.
