People always say “Don’t bottle up your feelings”, but how can I not? Bottling it up and acting like nothing’s wrong feels so much easier than letting it out. I have been suffering depression for a little over 4 years now. To the handful of people I’ve told, they have either: don’t believe me, think it’s “just a phase”, or …treat me differently, like I have a contagious disease and need to get “help”. I’ve tried, it doesn’t help me. So I guess I just have to continue to fake it until I make it… Hopefully.

You need to let it out. You’re on the perfect website to do so. Go ahead! Let it all out! You don’t need to tell people in your life that may cause consequences for you in the future. Just let it out anonymously. It will make you feel SO much better. Trust me. Telling someone can relieve the stress of holding these feelings inside.
