I play the violin. I would say i’m doing better than most of my class right now. I love playing with other people. Anyways, we recently went to a competition and we won first place. I was so happy I cried. However, when I got home my uncle started telling about how he didn’t like the second piece and how at the beginning we sounded great but at the end he almost hated it. He always has something to say about what I do. Same thing when I play alone. There’s always something he doesn’t like. Whether it be the piece or my posture or my violin. I want to feel like I can make him proud, but it feels like I never will be able to..

  • Don’t listen to him, only listen to the positive things. I mean hey if you’re good at violin that’s a possible career! Most people can’t even play it well. So be proud of yourself and listen to the positive people in your life. Maybe he’s suggesting constructive critizium. If so maybe learn from it, but still keep your ground and feel good about yourself. Good luck! And have a nice day. 🙂
