I am a student and I am going through the roughest phase in my life so far. I got rid of a friend who was blackmailing me. Now I have exams and I am not in a position to study.I repeated a year for taking this exam cause I did not get through last year. There’s way too much pressure on me and i have no friends, nobody to tell me to stay strong. My family’s only concerned about me doing well in the exam but they really don’t seem to get what I am going through. I am alone at home all day and it’s driving me mad, I have no one to talk to.I am seriously getting suicidal thoughts and I have even googled suicide.I just want to join the college of my choice and move on.

  • Hey, I feel you, I’m in a similar position. First of all, it’s great that you removed someone toxic from your life, I’m still pretending to be okay. Second, your family does care about you. They probably just don’t understand, maybe you should try talking to them. Waiting for someone to realise you’re not okay, isn’t going to happen, sadly. If they don’t understand then it’ll be hard for them to see that you aren’t okay. Lastly, loneliness really takes a toll on a person. You should try and reach out to friends or anyone to talk about anything, it doesn’t have to be your feelings. Exams are nearing but your health and happiness matters more than anything else. You’re worth more than just a grade, you’ll meet people out there who do not have the best intentions but you’ll also find those that will stick with you through thick or thin. Of course you don’t have to listen to any of this. I’m also struggling with similar troubles, I have researched suicide too and I’m not saying it’s okay (it really isn’t) but we all have lows. Just hold on, you’ll be okay in the end. Though this sounds cliche and is over used, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. You’re learning from this experience. You have a whole life ahead of you to fulfil and its fantastic that you have an ambition.
