I have been with my partner for four years now. He still hasn’t met my family – my official excuse for not bringing him home is the distance (yeah right, three states away, big deal…), but the real thing is that my parents are right-wing. Stupidly, stolidly, fiercely fascist. I am ashamed of my parents.

Family introductions aren’t necessary to relationships, even marriages. Don’t stress yourself out over that dumb social obligation.
But you’re not. You’re not responsible for them, and didn’t make them that way. Don’t beat yourself up with shame over something you didn’t do!
If you really want him to meet them or he really wants to meet them. Then you should be frank with him and tell him what to expect. If he still wants to do it, well, he was warned.
