Plastic garbage in the sea is breaking down to microscopic sizes and fish are eating it and the fish which are caught and end up on your plate for you to eat, might very well have microscopic plastic in them, which ends inside you and effects you in ways that we don’t know about yet, but Cancer is a strong possibility.
I don’t eat fish or sea water based shellfish, etc and I pretty much rarely have, because of my thinking in this plastic issue.
I suppose the chances of eating fish with plastic in them is slight, but fish is always the most expensive of foods available at my Supermarket, whereas animal meat, is a lot cheaper, so its a good incentive to stay with meat, which does not have plastic waste in it, because Beef and Pork eat earth based foods and there is no plastic waste in what they eat and there are much stricter controls over Beef and Pork production and health, than fish.
With fish, you get what you get and you don’t know where it has been eating or what the body contained, before it arrives on your plate for you to eat.
