It won’t make you loose your interest in actual people, that I am quite sure of. A ton of people who like to watch anime have a situation or even feelings for a character in one at some point. It will end at some point just like it would in the case of a crush on an actual person like normally. I do think that you are overthinking this just a little bit like you suggested it might be.
