One of my best friends, a guy (I’m a girl), texted me and told me that he was finally getting to talk to his crush. I don’t have a crush on him or anything so I was really happy for him, especially since he’s liked her for forever. (This also proves that he didn’t get over her even though he kept saying he was over her). Anyway, I feel kinda guilty cause I should be happy for him, which I am. However, I’m just scared that he’ll just leave me to talk to her (mind you, we can video call for 5 hours, text for like 4 hours day, that kinda stuff). And I’m afraid to lose that. We’ve been through quite a few breakdowns and we’ve confused in each other. This a relationship I really really cherish and never wanna lose. So I’m scared that she’ll take over my place 🙁

I don’t want this to sound rude, but if he’s really your best friend, he won’t forget you. You may have shorter conversations, but they should still be there. I’d be grateful for even having a best friend.

Anyway, if he’s liked them for as long as you say, he may just have long conversations to begin with, but he’ll eventually come back to you. You’re his best friend.
