My parents bought me a $20k truck many years ago. I have/had a terrible gambling problem. I got into financial trouble a few months after getting this amazing gift from them. I sold the truck for barely 10k and flew to Vegas only to blow the 10k within a few days. I told them and everyone else the truck was stolen. Then contemplated suicide for days because I felt so disgusted with my actions. Was many years ago but I’ve never told anyone the truth.
