My hamster just had babies, it was unexpected. My only option is to leave them in a forest/park. I really dont want to do this, I’ve already asked friends and family if the can adopt them, no animal shelter in my city will tale them. I also tried the internet, no luck. I know they provably won’t survive out there, but I feel it’s better than throwing them in the trash

  • Or you know an animal shelter is twice as better as leaving helpless baby hamsters to die. You can really go to animal shelter or a pet store for advice. Like why is that your thought to take them to the forest to die? Wtf

    • It is my only option. I already asked pet stores and shelters for advice. Pet store won’t accept them, and shelters won’t accept them due to lack of space

  • If you’re going to do it at least do it when they are close to adulthood, they may have a slight chance of not getting eaten or starving.

  • Take them to a shelter and leave them there. Dont ask them just leave them, they will know what to do more than you

    • There are 2 shelters in my city, one is closed now (I am leaving to another state for 4 days and I’m leaving in an hour, it’s mandatory), the other shelter is too far away for me, I would miss my flight

  • OK, drop them in a bucket of boiling water or drown them in cold.
