A Real “First Experience” When Joseph Ray Daniels, 31, was found guilty on Saturday of murdering his son Joe Clyde Daniels, age 5. The guilty verdict followed a weeklong trial and comes three years after Daniel’s son was reported missing. In April 2018, the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office alleged Daniels intentionally killed his son, Joseph “Joe Clyde” Daniels, who had autism and was non-verbal. With a little digging on the history of this case, I found that on April 4, 2018, One of Joseph Daniel’s children came to tell him that 5-year-old Joe Clyde had urinated on the floor, according investigators. In Joseph’s later admission he said, “I then told them to get their (butts) in the bed.” Baby Joe started laughing. So I beat him. That’s when he ran out the front door. Baby Joe ran to the road. I saw a car drive by. I ran out and got him back in the house. I beat him some more. That’s when I killed Baby Joe.” April 6th, after an interrogation and failed polygraph administered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Joseph Daniels admitted to hitting his son Joe Clyde in the head with a closed fist “several times” and in the face “a few times.” Joseph Daniels has since retracted this confession, saying he was coerced. April 10, According to court documents, 27 year old Krystal Daniels, Joe Clyde’s mother, admitted to investigators to being present when Joseph Daniels “intentionally caused the death” of their son in their Garners Creek home. Krystal Daniels is charged with aggravated child abuse and neglect in connection with the case for allegedly witnessing the murder and not helping her son. She has pleaded not guilty. A start date for her trial has not been scheduled. Alex Nolan, Joe’s now 11 year old half-brother, took the stand during the trial to testify about the night the boy vanished. He recalled seeing Joe motionless on the ground, and that the defendant carried the boy to the back door of the house. Nolan said he watched Daniels carry his half-brother in his arms down the street. The next morning, Daniels told him that Joe had run away, Nolan testified. (The Gabber)
