Upon starting university, I broke up with my vanilla, blandly safe boyfriend to seek some kind of self-discovery. Only a few months into Uni, I met a wildfire of a boy. Being older and far more experienced than me, he was the kind of boy whose world sweetened with alcohol, the kind who revved the fastest cars to life and the one who was a notorious serial lady killer. He took me in his fast car, and I remember the evening city lights reflecting in his eyes. The roar of his obnoxiously loud music in my ears, his mouth moving against mine. The rain pouring from the clouds as our bodies spilled over the leather backseat together. The young stupidity of the moment was gone so soon, yet I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
