After years of my mom telling

It simply meant that she now knew that she had no sway over you.
My folks just told me not to drink if there was school the next day. I’ve always favoured beer, after gotten waisted at age 7. Didn’t touch alcohol til I was 13, when I bought my first bottle of beer. I never developed a problem with alcohol because after I was old enough to buy beer and liquor, it didn’t taste as good as it used to.
And today I’m a teetotaler, though not a fanatic 😉
Religion had nothing to do with it.
