When I say “I was in a really dark place” regarding this morning or this past weekend or whenever, that means I probably had a feasible suicide plan all worked out. Mom, I know I promised you that I would never commit suicide, but that promise might not save me from taking my own life. I try to stay positive, I really do, but the weight of all the pretend hope only makes the painfully-real difficulties of life harder to bear.
